In my opinion, people who unintentionally murder someone shouldn't get the capital punishment. Criminals who commit gruesome crimes should because if they don't get it, others will follow their example. I partly agree with 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' because nobody has the right to take away someone's life. Although, many people say, capital punishment is a murder too, only it's committed by the state.

VálaszTörlésI am against it. The biggest problem is the irrevocability of the death penalty. If someone is later proven innocent, you can not bring the person back to life.

VálaszTörlésI agree with you, Bea. Either the state nor a human don't have right to kill somebody. People have own spirit, which just can't be destroyed. To take a killer's life is a kind of revenge? There must be another way of getting criminals to see the reason of their act. Just look at Pope John Paul II!

Some government should shame on it, because by death penalty they aren't better than murders.
There are no good reasons for capital punishment, no matter what the person did. So, my opinion, there is no need for capital punishment.

My opinion is what the (probably) Egyptian guy said: Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. You wanted to punish someone by taking away their life? Fine, but then don't whine: the state has just as much right to do so with you as you did.
I think capital punishment is needed in cases of cruel, brutal murders, when it is unequivocal that the murderer didn't regret what he has done and when it is 100% proved that the person is guilty. I think it is not a revenge, but if you do something then take the consequences...
VálaszTörlésI totally agree with Nati. However,there is something to think about. What happens if someone unawares committed the murder? In that case I'm against it. So, finally I think it depends on the person and what he/she had committed.
VálaszTörlésWell I think this is not an easy question. Maybe the solution would be that we should look people individually and and there for we could give individual punishments. So if a person did something really horrible and had no reason for it and it's proved than maybe we could give him a dead penalty.

The main reason is that everyone deserve a last chance, so if he/or she has done something in my opinian it is not the right way to punish them with a capital punishment. VálaszTörlésIf somebody asks me..I think death sentence is a good ideo,for saving another people from the murder or the rapist.But there is one point we are not sure about..what if this man is innocence? There is always a bit hope for it. So I think people should make a thing which knows when man is lying,and there it is.:)
VálaszTörlésI am against it, because everybody have a right to live, if he/she is guilty or not. Rather condemn them , who had done something wrong and terrible for 40-50 years. I think that this high penalty worse for them than the capital punishment. It remains a long period, and they have got enought time to suffer the consequences of their achievements.

VálaszTörlésso, firstly I think that if you kill somebody, you deserve the same pain. It's OK that somebody do it due to flushing, but it's not a quarrel with punishing.I like that old statue :"tit for tat"... nobody should live more if he/she is a killer.
so, my personal opinion about death penalty is strong. but people do not have to get death punishment for everything, just for killing. But in Serbia I think it's better if we don't have this penalty, because here will be a seas of blood.
